falling leaves remember

A throwback for me of my early years, growing up in the Midwest.

Fall was such a lovely time of year, and, even though nature was preparing to wrap itself up safe and sound for an often long, harsh winter … it was really a wonder-filled time to be mindful of the changes.

I often wondered if all the leaves that fell of our trees in such abundance would remember what they’d seen and heard before letting go, and returning to the earth. I think they did.
